Greendream Architecture

Alex Shirley-Smith was born and raised in London, UK.  His interest in green architecture stems back to his childhood and he has pursued his dream of creating a more sustainable build environment ever since.

Alex has worked within the treehouse industry for 15 years and been lucky enough to have worked on the past decades most cutting edge international treehouse projects.

 

After qualifying as an architect (ARB Registered) in 2005, Greendream Architecture was set up to offer clients his unique brand of treehouse design and build services.  

 

Using suspension techniques rather than hard fixings, Greendream Architecture's treehouses work with symbiotically with the tree's own strengths in order to support lightweight, durable and liveable structures. 

As a studio, we believe in creating a more sympathetic relationship between our built and natural environments.  This is why we have been practicing treehouse architecture for the past 14 years.  This exciting, fast growing sector provides a minimal impact solution to creating innovative, inspirational spaces within which to live and work.
